A Custom Gable Design for Outdoor Living
The freestanding gable design creates an open, covered space beside the pool.
Spanish Brown columns, beams, and fascia contrast with the Desert Sand roof and ceiling, while the exposed gable profile creates a distinctive architectural appearance.
Built for a Lifetime: Structural Design and Craftsmanship
This project required more than assembling standard patio cover components. SAE Builders developed site-specific plans for the freestanding gable structure, incorporated steel reinforcement into the supporting posts and beams, and constructed the concrete footings after excavation was completed.
The concealed structural components, roof framing, and carefully executed installation are essential parts of the project, even though much of that work is hidden in the finished photographs.
The project was permitted and received final inspection approval. Footing excavation was performed by Webber Pools under subcontract to SAE Builders; SAE Builders handled placement, setting, and finishing of the structural concrete footings.
Ceiling Fans, Recessed Lighting, and Outlets
The completed structure includes two customer-supplied ceiling fans with light kits, installed by SAE Builders with the specified fan-support system.
Four recessed LED lights and six GFCI outlets with exterior covers provide additional lighting and convenient electrical access throughout the covered area.
A Second Patio Cover for the Same Temecula Homeowner
Before constructing this freestanding gable cover, SAE Builders completed an insulated, roof-mounted Alumawood patio cover beside the same homeowner’s house.
The later freestanding project is a separate installation, demonstrating the versatility of Alumawood systems and SAE Builders’ experience with different patio cover designs.
