Temecula Bathroom Remodel
This extensive Temecula primary-suite remodel was the latest in a series of major projects SAE Builders has completed for these repeat clients. Over multiple phases, the home has undergone extensive improvements including custom Alumawood patio covers, a bar and wine cellar, window and French-door replacement, major kitchen remodeling, ceiling modifications, JADU improvements, and additional custom construction.
For this most recent phase, the existing smaller bathroom and walk-in closet were removed and reconfigured to create a substantially larger primary suite. The new layout includes back-to-back his-and-hers suspended vanities, separate Japanese-style toilets, a large walk-in steam shower, freestanding tub, expanded walk-in closet, and replacement corner windows.
The project required extensive coordination of layout changes, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, windows, cabinetry, tile, and finish work to create a completely redesigned space tailored to the homeowners.
Hybrid Alumawood
Insulated Cover in Temecula, CA
This project involved replacing an aging wood pergola with a fully customized Alumawood Insulated solid cover, designed to blend seamlessly with the existing architecture.
This hybrid design utilizes the structural rafters of an Alumawood lattice system to support a solid insulated Alumawood roof panel system.
While there is no exposed lattice section, the 3 x 8 rafter framework provides added strength, depth, and visual dimension to the structure. Designed and installed by SAE Builders, this approach creates a distinctive appearance while maintaining full shade coverage and long-term durability.
The new structure features required concrete footings, steel post and beam inserts to allow for large spans between columns.
We then installed 10" square fiberglass columns, enhancing the visual appeal and providing a durable, maintenance-free solution.
Custom-fabricated brackets and precise 45-degree cuts were used to create a wrap-around mitered corner, ensuring seamless architectural continuity.
Stucco repairs were necessary to address damage from the previous cover and to ensure a beautifully finished project with seamless integration.
The required building permit was issued and the final inspection performed by the City of Temecula Building Department.

Solid Alumawood Patio Cover Located in Temecula, CA
This beautiful backyard features a solid Newport-style Alumawood patio cover engineered for structural performance and long-term durability. The design includes a double header, .040" gauge posts, and .032" gauge side plates.
These components are required when increasing standard post spacing while attaching directly to an existing concrete slab without new footings, ensuring proper load distribution and full code compliance.
Two ceiling fans with color-matched flashing were installed, reflecting clean, professional electrical workmanship.

Full-Frame Andersen 100 Series Window Replacement in Temecula
This full-frame window replacement was completed as part of an extensive series of remodeling projects for repeat SAE Builders clients in Temecula. Over multiple phases, SAE Builders has completed major interior remodeling, custom outdoor construction, window and door replacement, and other improvements throughout the home.
For this phase, 14 existing windows were removed and replaced with Andersen 100 Series Fibrex® composite windows using a full-frame installation method. Unlike retrofit insert windows, full-frame replacement removes the existing window assembly down to the rough opening, allowing the surrounding wall, flashing, waterproofing, and structural attachment conditions to be properly addressed.
Prosoco R-Guard FastFlash was applied as part of the waterproofing system, and the surrounding lath and plaster were repaired and blended into the existing exterior finish. This approach eliminated the exposed trim commonly associated with retrofit installations and created a cleaner, more integrated appearance.
The result was a comprehensive window upgrade with improved weather protection, updated materials, and a finished appearance that better matched the architecture of the home.
